1. The Valley itself was sacred and spiritual place, and at least part of on which, the city now stands, was a Native American burial ground before the Spaniards arrived in the 1700.
2. The city itself is built over part of the settlers original cemetery (from the train station depot, to Thompson and down to Oakland and Menlo).
3. Where the current police station stands was once home to a military barracks supporting the Ryan Airbase in the early 1900's (WWl era), one of America' first such airbases created to support the war.

In response major media outlets speculated the objects were missiles in spite of the absurdity of such claim!
7. There is a big foot, or "hairy man" creature which is said to roam the mountains
8. Several horrific massacres took place in and around the city during early settlement.
9. There is a history of people going missing throughout the area as well as constant talk of supposed "unsolved" murders. It is believed by the locals that Florida Ave. is the hunting grounds of at least one serial killer of not several!
10. It is an extremely haunted haunted place.
11. The valley was a magnet for religious fanatics, Christian sects, deviants, devil worshipers, witches and occultists in the late 1800's. It seems apparent that in the time of the Spanish up through the turn of the century, the death penalty was not only given to criminals, but also to "witches", Mexicans, and Native Americans who were either hung from gallows or trees in the area around the current courthouse.

Both are covered with a mysterious petroglyph not even understood by the current generation of Native Americans. There are several theories about exactly what the symbols mean but as of yet, no none are agreed upon.
